Dr. Cossette Joy is a board-certified dermatologist who practices predominantly medical dermatology. After graduating from Duke University in North Carolina, Dr. Joy moved to Chicago to earn her medical degree at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and subsequently completed her dermatology residency at John H. Stroger Cook County Hospital.
Dr. Joy is a Miami native who was practicing in Los Angeles prior to relocating back home in South Florida. She values open communication with her patients and encourages them to be a part of the medical decision-making process involving their care. She is passionate about dermatology and the well-being of her patients, and approaches each visit with tremendous care and focus. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and enjoys treating patients of different cultural backgrounds.
Her clinical interests include acne, eczema, psoriasis, complex medical dermatology, and skin cancer screening. She has presented at local and national conferences, and is an active member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Academy of Dermatology.
In her free time, Dr. Joy enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.
